Shall post a review of a book to revive my dead blog.

I've recently finished reading this book called Little Monsters by Charles Lambert. Must say it's a pretty good read. I liked the way how almost each and every character is well developed, it's as if you're really there you know? Like you're really part of the whole story itself. I also liked the way the story is told. It's told in a double narrative format, Carol (the main character) as a child, and Carol as an adult. Simultaneously. But not like Mockingbird, where the adult Scout just pops in and out. In Little Monsters, its more or less 2 different stories told at the same time, with each story complimenting each other. Very well laid out...

Just one thing I don't really like about the book is how Carol seems very indifferent. She seems untouched by most things normal people would be crying over if put in her shoes. So while the book sometimes establish her as a warm and caring character, its just hard to fully think of her as one. So it's a bit of mixed feelings here and there.

Natually I went to check on the author, but was suprised to have found nothing much on him at all. Then I just realised he (Charles Lambert) just started out! Pretty much amazed, I thought the book was written by some really established author...Just like what the back of the book says, "Lambert reads like a writer at the height of his game rather than one just starting out'. I shall be looking forward to his next book...And I strongly recommend anyone who reads this to go to your nearest bookstore right now and grab Little Monsters!!

Haven't blogged for like, super long. Whatever, I'm lazy =P ~

Gee, holidays are OVER. One week of school has already passed by, but still...Ah well. Prelim 2 results were out. Must say that, although I improved quite a lot, (hey, L1R5 from 20+ drop to 14 ok!!) I'm really dissapointed in my EL results. C5 on the dot. OMGWTFBBQ. That's like the first time I've ever scored so low for EL...I'm averaging between B4 and B3. Guess it's to be expected. I failed my compo (OMG?! That's like my strongest point) and my situational only got 16. Screw this. If this goes on my L1R5 is gonna suck. Even if I scored A1s for the rest of the subjects I'll still get a big ugly 10. I MUST IMPROVE MY ENGLISH!!! KYAA~!!! (No, I'm not a girl just because I went KYAA~!!!)

On the other hand, I scored pretty well for Maths. 85 man, one of the seven A1s in class. Yay me!! And combine humans was a B3! Not bad considering that I was part of the 80% who misunderstood question b of the Elect Lit paper. Which means I failed obviously...AND MY UNSEEN SCORED A 18 LEH!! Damn, that's a waste man. I did also improve slightly in bio and chem...But they still sucked. 62 for chem and 57 for bio. Gah.

And one thing that really pissed me off was how Ivan was able to get 72.5 for his chem. Now that's really unfair, 'cause he did not shade his OAS. And even when the teachers said stop, he continued to raise his hand and write his essay. And even after all that he forgot to shade his OAS and was frantically shading it until the teacher came over to stop him. Yet he escaped unscathed, 'cause the teachers were too nice and allowed him to finish shading the OAS. All he got was a bit of a scolding.

Now that is really, really, really unfair, 'cause by right he shoujld have failed. Do the maths yourself, he scored 24 for his MCQ. If so I would have done the same and not shade the OAS until the very end. That way I could have saved up to like what, 10mins? and I could have completed my paper. Yes, I did not finish the essay question which was like super easy. Wtf man=.= Next time I should just do the essay questions first. But that's not the point, the point is Ivan deserved to fail and it's really unfair how he is allowed extra time. It's seriously not fair for those who did not complete the paper (I'm not the only one).

Btw, the more I go for drama the more I feel that I'm wasting my time. Seriously. Those idiots just don't understand how we're super short of time and they're totally not putting in any effort at all. Not gonna say names, but I'll just let you all know that I'm talking about people like terrence. Watching them perform is boring the shit out of me man. Zzz.

Not to mention that my parent's are now nagging the hell out of me to off my comp and go to sleep. Zzz. Gah. Shall blog next time when I have the time...

Just realised I haven't done this for a long, long time... So it's back again!! This time featuring Yuki Nagato from the Suzumiya Haruhi franchise. Moe~

I know I haven't been updating very frequently. It's just that prelim 2's like just around the freaking corner and I've got freaking loads to mug...As I'm typing this my hist notes are just right by my side. Holy crap I so need a breather.

Yeah anyway all of a sudden I had a crave for Faye Wong's songs. Her voice is beautiful man. She sang quite a lot of covers in chinese and there's this original which really caught my attention. It's called Silent all these Years - Tori Amos (who the hell is that? I have a feeling I've seen the name somewhere though) yeah and I think the lyrics are really powerful.

Nothing particularly interesting happened today...Stayed at home for most of it. Except in the morning, we went to this Hong Kong stlye cafe in Katong there, called 老 Hong Kong. Pretty cool place. The stuff they sell there is like super cheap, and its freaking nice. Much better than the Xing Wang Hong Kong Cafe or something...that one cost a bomb. So you all have to go try it out!! If you can find it that is...

So for some reason now FB is lagging its head off. Or is it just my connection. I can't even take a bloody quiz!! Geez!! Oh forget it. Speaking of FB, I'M HOOKED TO IT OMGIRL. SOMEBODY STOP ME~~!!!!! AHH!!!!!! Alright, I can do this. Turn around, put that lappy away, start doing my maths...NO!! I CAN'T DO IT!!! Ok that was spastic.

Alright it's high time for me to update my blog. So...

Hi people,

like for some reason we got hooked back to playing Pokemon cards. LOL. Hey, stop laughing okay!! But damn sian, 'cause my good decks are all with fourier ang!!! So now my current deck sucks. I have a serious lack of good Supportor cards. My Pokemon are good, just that I can't get them out!!! Ah well. Gonna re-format my whole deck, now that I found some extra cards. Like zomgwtfbbq, I just found an extra stash somewhere and guess what I found? Staraptor!!! Empoleon!!! The Tropius which Oreos wanted!!! Vespiqueen!!! Floatzel!!! Aggron!!! Venusaur ex!!! Omg!!! No wonder lorh, I was wondering what happened to my Staraptor and Empoleon. And I totally forgot I owned a Venusaur ex until just now. Okay so I'm gonna reformat my deck soon...

And oh yeah, I just came back from Compass Point a few hours ago. So on my way back, I saw this fat boy and his grandfather. Like wtf man, the grandfather was carrying a lot of stuff and the boy wasn't helping him one bit. Can tell the old man suffering, 'cause the bag almost slipped out of his hand and he had to put it onto the floor for a bit. Then the kid was like holding nothing at all? And that's not it. When the LRT approached, he immediately rushed to the door. When the door opened, he crashed into this tall white man. Not saying a single sorry, he rushed to the seats. Like wth man. Wth his parents doing...And this just goes to prove that PCK and gang have failed. Seriously quite angry when I saw that...Well at least he did save a seat for his grandfather.

Btw, August Play is seriously taking up a lot of my time. Further more, each time I go, the more I feel that I'm wasting my time. Those brats and idiots aren't even putting in effort. The worse of the lot is probably daniel chay. You can practically sense his...no, SEE his 'I'm SO not doing this' aura around him. And the fact that Nora wants me to act, but no I'm only an understudy, is quite vexing. Scali she sees me in the audience next time and says, "Hey! I thought I said I want you in?!" Owww. That's gonna hurt.

Okay, a lot of people seems to be blogging about the newly opened Circle line, so I shall too. Frankly, I do benefit quite a lot from it. Normally it takes me 1hour or so to reach home, but now it takes about 35mins. Almost cut the duration by half. But still, ITS A FREAKING 35 MINS. Sigh...
